Jaime Harrison made history in 2013 when he became the first African American to serve as the chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party.

Just seven years later, in 2020, Harrison moved up to serve as chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

On today’s episode of The Switch Up's special election series, Harrison discusses the historic nature of this year’s election and what is at stake for Black voters. He also weighed in on the first, and perhaps only, presidential debate between Vice President Harris and former President Trump and with less than two months left until Election Day, issued a strong message to young voters.
