Former President Trump says he regrets not attacking ABC's debate moderators in real time during his clash with Vice President Harris last week.

"I think my only regret is that I wanted to be elegant, and I didn't want to go after the anchors. I wish I did, in a way," Trump told Fox News host Greg Gutfeld during an appearance Wednesday night on the network.

"I was very unfairly treated by the anchor. I'm not fans of those guys anymore — and his hair was better five years ago," Trump said about moderator David Muir.

During the debate in Philadelphia, Muir and co-moderator Linsey Davis offered several fact-checks of false or misleading statements Trump made, including unproven claims that immigrants are eating pets in a small Ohio town.

After the debate, allies of the former president expressed outrage with ABC over how the debate was moderated and accused the Disney-owned broadcast network of bias against him.

Trump has said he will not participate in a second debate with Harris.
