Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) posted a "full endorsement" of former President Trump on Friday, saying he was “honored” to throw his support behind the GOP candidate.

“Donald Trump will put Americans first by securing our liberties at home and preventing needless wars abroad. He will Make America Great Again by empowering small farmers and taking on special interests that have corrupted our healthcare system,” Massie posted on social platform X.

"He has even committed to freeing Ross Ulbricht who was wrongfully sentenced," he continued, referencing the founder of the illegal online drug marketplace Silk Road, who was sentenced to life in prison in 2015. Trump pledged earlier this year to commute Ulbricht's sentence if he is reelected.

Massie had previously backed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) run for the White House against Trump, saying he wasn’t afraid of backlash in going against the former president. He also went so far earlier this year as to bash Trump for his “ridiculous bullying tactics” toward other politicians.

On Friday, however, he said Trump has his full endorsement due to everything he included in the post and "many other reasons."

“I encourage conservatives, as well as independents and libertarians, to join me in voting for Donald J. Trump for President,” the post concluded.
