Former Virginia Rep. Barbara Comstock (R) warned of the dangers of former President Trump winning another White House but also downplayed his chances of doing so, saying there's a "silent group of women" who will vote against him and support Vice President Harris, according to a report.

“I think there’s a silent majority. I think there’s a silent group of women who will crawl over broken glass to vote against Trump and who will quietly vote for Harris," Comstock told The Daily Beast on Tuesday night.

Comstock is among more than 100 Republican figures who plan to join Harris at a rally in Pennsylvania on Wednesday. Former Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R) also will appear with Harris in Bucks County, a swing county in the key battleground state. President Biden won the county by 17,000 votes in 2020.

Polling from The Hill/Decision Desk HQ shows Harris with an extremely narrow lead over Trump in Pennsylvania, 48.6 percent to 48.3 percent.

Comstock said she will be knocking on doors in Bucks County after the event, hoping to "spread the word to suburban Republicans," The Daily Beast reported.

Comstock did not vote for Trump in 2016 or 2020, the outlet noted. She didn't vote for Biden or Hillary Clinton in those elections, either, instead writing in different names. Her vote for Harris will be her first for a Democratic presidential candidate, according to the report.

Comstock is a member of the National Council on Election Integrity, which was formed to counter election disinformation amid Trump's 2020 election subversion claims.

"We’re protecting election workers from all his death threats,” she said.

Trump's foreign policy is among Comstock's criticisms of the former president, particularly his rhetoric around helping Ukraine defend itself against Russia.

“[Vladimir] Putin is the one person Trump never criticizes. He will attack every man, woman and child in the Republican Party but he won’t attack Putin," Comstock told The Daily Beast.

As a grandmother with four granddaughters, Comstock also said she "cannot have a rapist in the Oval Office," referring to a sexual abuse case brought against the former president, which he has repeatedly denied.
