Former President Trump slammed former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) early Friday, after she made her first appearance on the campaign trail beside Vice President Harris, calling Cheney a "low IQ War Hawk."

“Liz Cheney lost her Congressional Seat by the largest margin in the history of Congress for a sitting Representative,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “The people of Wyoming are really smart!"

"She is a low IQ War Hawk that, as a member of the J6 Unselect Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs, ILLEGALLY DESTROYED & DELETED all documents, information, and evidence," he added.

The former president also criticized Cheney’s father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, trashing his foreign policy decisionmaking and suggesting the Cheney family is not wanted in today’s Republican Party. Both the former vice president and his daughter announced last month that they would vote for Harris.

“Her father, Dick, was a leader of our ridiculous journey into the Middle East, where Trillions of Dollars were spent, millions of people were killed - and for what? NOTHING,” Trump said.

“Well, today, these two fools, because the Republican Party no longer wants them, endorsed the most Liberal Senator in the U.S. Senate, further Left than even Pocahontas or Crazy Bernie Sanders - Lyin’ Kamala Harris,” he continued. “What a pathetic couple that is, both suffering gravely from Trump Derangement Syndrome. Good Luck to them both!!!”

Liz Cheney, a vocal Trump critic, joined the Democratic nominee in Wisconsin on Thursday, encouraging attendees in Ripon — known as the birthplace of the Republican Party — to follow her and reach across the political spectrum in November.

“We may disagree on some things, but we are bound together by the other thing that matters to us as Americans more than any other, and that is our duty to our Constitution and our belief in the miracle and the blessing of this great nation,” Cheney said during the campaign event.

“I ask you to stand in truth, to reject the depraved cruelty of Donald Trump and I ask you instead to help us elect Kamala Harris for president,” she added.

Trump, who has sparred with Cheney on multiple occasions since she sat on the House panel investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, riot on the Capitol, also attacked the former Republican leader in an interview with Fox News before his own campaign event Thursday.

“Well, Liz Cheney lost for Congress,” Trump told the outlet before rallying voters in Saginaw, Mich. “She was terrible. Liz Cheney is a stupid war hawk. All she wants to do is shoot missiles at people. I really think it hurts — I think, frankly ... I think they hurt each other. I think they’re so bad, both of them.”

Harris has made an effort to court some disaffected Republicans on the campaign trail. In August, the “Republicans for Harris” group kicked off with former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (Ill.) and former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan leading the effort.

“We may not see eye to eye on every issue, and we are going to get back to a healthy two-party system — I am sure of that — where we will have vigorous debates,” Harris said Thursday.

“We both love our country and revere our democratic ideals,” she continued. “And we both also believe in the nobility of public service. And we know that our oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America is a sacred oath.”
